I can use ifconfig or ip to set up a static IPv6 address with no problem.

But Yast seems completely incompatible with IPv6. It insists on a v4-style netmask. What am I supposed to put in there? Even if I manually modify /etc/sysconfig/ifcfg-eth0 to get the address right, if Yast is run again, it will stomp all over my address and mangle the netmask.

I'd like to set this up in a lab environment but I'm afraid people will run Yast (to change v4 addresses) and the v6 address will get screw up.

I also found this to be an issue, it seems as if yast has limited IPv6 functionality. Can anyone verify? Also, do we know if there are plans to extend yast with additional IPv6 functionality?
