I use my cellphone as a dial up modem
(3G and HSDPA speeds browsing is nice and for downloading low volumes)

In openSUSE 10.3 using Kinternet smpppd
1. It will randomly disconnect,
2. at the same time my Ktrafficanalyzer will notice this and swap interface automatically.

It is quite annoying and as a result my Ktrafficanalyzer also miss reports my STATS
since it swaps (wish i could lock it to interface permanently only allowing for manual swap)

I run Ktrafficanalyzer as script to execute after connect. Can i specify which interface at connect script.
How do i get it to stop and close at disconnect, and if so will it keep better track of my data usage (SIGQUIT?)

The closest i could get was
http://www.suseforums.net/index.php?showto...nternet+traffic
http://www.suseforums.net/index.php?showto...hl=mobile+modem

ps. I use the same phone/network via XP and no problem. (use bitmeter II, wish there was linux version)
I have tried more than one phone and sim also.

happend in the middle of typing this post...
