the entries are correct as if i go into root and type

mount //192.168.0.200/movies

the folder mounts with no errors
but why is it not doing this when i log in?!

HELP!!

Network disks should have _netdev in the options field so that they mount after the network is up. See man 8 mount

is this a 10.3 thing because i don't have this in my 10.2 computers and it works no problem

No, it's always been this way. Obviously if the system tries at boot time to mount a network disk before the networking is up, it will fail and not retry.

alright, ive added that, the typical line now looks like

i just rebooted and same thing

so ive added the user to the root group, rebooted and .... still doesn't work
HELP!!!

it's annoying to have to go into terminal and then manually mount them each logon

hmm, i think i have found the solution .. i had the same issues ages ago, seems samba-client and cifs-mount were not installed .. ive just added them to this problem machine and rebooting now ... fingers crossed ...!
