I have been trying desperately to set up my wireless network for the past three weeks. After trying multiple different things, what has finally made it work is downloading the nongpl kernel matching my kernel (2.6.13-15).

What is baffling me now however, is that upon boot, my card will NOT work. What I have to do is go into YaST2, select Network Devices, and click on it.

Before it goes though it's whatever-it-does routine, I receive a pop-up saying "Installation source not refreshed" with an OK button.

I click the OK button...it apparently refreshes...then my card boots up and everything is fine.

It goes thought that 'Installation source not refreshed" each time I click on something in YaST2.

Any insights?

Does it have something to do with that downloaded nongpl kernel?

Is it just me, or does anyone experience the "one step forward, two steps backward" phenomon with Linux? <_<
