Which text should i get to inform me about the ins and outs of linux. I'm very computer savy and have built many pc's from the ground up. As such, I can handle a book that moves quickly to advanced matters, as long as it builds a solid foundation first.

And, http://elibrary.fultus.com/covers/technica...uides/list.html Plus you can search for "O'Rielly's + Linux"; lots of good books there. When you are ready to tackle a specific app, you will find that the builder's site usually has a guide/FAQ/forum/etc. Try Novell's "Cool Solutions"; some of them get real deep quite fast. Have fun... |

linux user mag is fairly good for the latest software and drivers and things but its not a manual that you'd just read once for that I'd suggest official openSUSE documentation
