10.2 Dvd - Do I Separately Need The Cd With The Proprietry Apps

I read somewhere that CD6 or whatever it is called is included by default in the DVD version, so i cancelled the bittorrent d/l.

now i am reading elsewhere that it is needed in addition to the DVD if you want those useful things like acroread etc.

DVD contains the addon software, i.e. = CDs 1-6, but not as much as the double layer retail DVD.
