I have just installed Suse Linux 9.1 onto an empty and unformatted HDD. This went well and now when I boot from HDD it comes up with Grub command prompt. I have tried boot command but the program insists on the loading of kernel. How the hell am I supposed to know the exact path to the right file when I have never even seen the directories associated with this new installation. I just want to boot the operating system and then configure it to boot automatically from now on. I installed Linux next to an existing copy og win XP yesterday and the boot sequnce only consisted of a blue optons screen for selecting the OS to boot and linux started up just fine then. This is probably simple but I have no experience with linux or open forum software, having always used windows, which is made for idiots.
