in the /etc/bootsplash/themes is the themes directory.
I went into /etc/bootspash/themes/SuSE/images and just changed the pics. In this folder you will see all the bootsplash backgrounds. They are in all sizes. In the /SuSE/config folder you will see the config files that tell the system to place the graphics and animation on the screen as well as the color of the screen font. Read the files they will describe there self to you. I just simply left the amations were they were and didnt change anything in those files this time. I got lucky and everything lined up. OK after you make your changes and all the file names are correct.. i.e.= silent-1280x1024.jpg not *.jpeg. Just type "mkinitrd" mkinitrd is where a1phaomega helped me out. I didnt know you had to run that. Heck I didnt know what it did till now.. Thanks again a1phaomega... Happy Newyears everyone... Bandit.. h34r:

I wasn't sure if I had to change the config files.
Thank you very much and also a1phaomega for your guys help. I also didn't realize I had to run mkinitrd. I became VERY familiar with this command though after the kernel panic I had because of the last kernel update being screwed up. Again, and again, this forum rocks and is always very helpful. Thanks, RS |
