I did it last night and am very happy.
I did a clean install.

Can someone point me at an online doc that explains the clean install procedure?
Thanks,

It is basically starting the install process, choosing New Installation and then having Suse format the hard drive towip everything out before install. [/b][/quote]
How do people save their data files during a fresh install - things like MySQL DB files, user accounts, etc?
Seems like I should cp all important files to another machine and then do the 9.2 fresh install. I know how to save things like MySQL data, but how to preserve users and groups, etc, so that when 9.2 is running I don't need to go and recreate a bunch of stuff? I only have 12 users, and 10 groups. No mail files. I do have CVS and SAMBA, which are very important that I not screw up.
This is my first Linux upgrade, I've been running 8.1 for 3 years now.
Thanks,
