an internal zip drive Iomega 100 is hundred times better than a floppy :
quicker storage and 100 Mo instead of 1.4 Mo
if you want to install it contact me
I found out the line to register in fstab :
/dev/hdd4 /media/zip auto auto,rw,user,uid=1000,umask=000 00

I use zip drive for in-between system file transfers and easy portability. firewire hdd are a great help when we need to transfer large amount of data. if no floppy or cd rom is installed on a system for security reasons, zip drive or usb hdd are the only easy solution.

Haven't for a long, long time. CDs are cheap, and USB pen drives are getting cheap.

Unless you already own one and want to make use of it, it seems to be Zip drives are about obsolete.
