Best Buy, CompUSA, I think Amazon. You can also go through Suse.

Hi,

Best buy I found was at www.mysoftwareonline.co.uk

Suse 9.1 Professional, distro is on 5 CD's at GB£ 7.50 or about $12.00 US.

Installs first time.

Stargazer.

I usually pre-order and pre-pay, pre-announcements of the next release on SuSE.com and anxiously wait for DHL to ring the bell.

SuSE can be installed in full through FTP, manuals are not worth the paper they are printed on.
So go for the update, not the full version. Only difference between update and full: update only comes with the administrator manual.

Pre-orders are delvered one month ahead of access to the ftp servers.
Licences allow you some months of installation support.
Never had problems with installation so never used support.

Many ftp servers carry the full mirror (not all are registered at suse.com in the list), hence you eventually can mirror the full tree on your local machine. My ISP has the full mirror and not listed on SuSE. Guess they use SuSE for their own production

Difference between polycarbonate DVD and full download are some licenses issues as Java, Textmaker, .... which would not be on the ftp disto.

If you like polycarbonate as I do, go for the "update".
Btw: I am certain the DVD is a full disto, some apps could have been "forgotten" on the 5 CD's set.

There should be two DVDs one is the binaries and one is the source. The DVDs are also two-sided one (side A) is 32bit and the other (side B) is 64bit.
