it was too easy with Mandrake : just a right clic on the folder or file and select "Zip this file"
the same with "tar this file" or "Bzip2 tis directory"
I wonder if we can d this with suse ?

It can't be that difficult to fix if it doesn't exist. Write shell scripts for each task and hook them to the menu that appears on right clicking a file or a folder.
I'm not at a SuSE computer right now but given some spare time and a computer on my local network ...

That is integrated into the konqueror menu.
Just select the file, right click -> Actions -> create zip archive

Wow! Old is not always wise! I make a lot of archives but have never noticed this feature. Nice. Never too old to learn.
