Is there any way to make the "Windows" key open the Lizzard menu? or to make the "drop down menu" key work? I have not really done a whole lot of exploration on this topic, but because it doesn't work on any distro that I've tried I'm guessing that no one is addressing it?

Anyone out there have any ideas? Anyone have the skills to map the keys?

I'd have to look into the key mapping but a workaround is ALT + F1 will bring up the K-menu.

Open the KDE Control Center > Regional & Accessibility > Keyboard Shortcuts. Click on the Command Shortcuts select the application you want to open and press the key combo to open it.

hope this is what your looking for.

thank you for your posts, but....

the system, KDE I guess, seems to want you to use the Windows key in conjunction with another key and not by itself. What I want the Windows key to do is bring up the Popup Launch Menu when pressed alone.
