How do I install jre-6u6-linux-i586-rpm.bin

I tried repositorys but they are out of date

If U know how to up date repos let me know

I would still like to know how to install bin files!

I don't know what repos you tried, but I have 1.6 update 6 on my machine, from the repos.

I would suggest going back and finding it, and not installing things like this by hand. However, if you still wish to install a *.bin, then most likely you need to
1. give the file execute permissions: chmod +x file.bin
2. run the file: ./file.bin

both of these things would need to be done from a shell (command prompt), of course
