Opensuse 10.3 Install Using Fastrack 150 Sx-4 Raid Controller

im trying to install opensuse 10.3 on a dell poweredge 700 with a promise fastrack sx150 mx4
i am unable to install on this computer. I hit install, and the install starts (i hit escape to see the text go by) it appears to recgonize the controller - it lists the correct device etc, but it then sits there for several minutes.

It then boots into the GUI and after the CD/DVD rom validation it says there are no harddrives available.

I checked on the promise website the only drive they have is for suse 9.x.

any suggestions?
