Hello, I just installed 11.0 beta3 and after I rebooted into suse it didn't have any GUI at all. Does the 11.0 beta3 not have a GUI or did I miss something in the installation? Has anyone else experienced anything similar, and how would I put a GUI on? I installed KDE 4.0 too.

Reads like you have never installed openSUSE before? My "hat is off" to you, for being such a brave soul, by installing a beta release. I used SUSE for 6 years before I installed my first beta version. ....

Anyway, the odds are you simply need to boot to run level 3, log in as a regular user (with regular user password), then type "su" to get root permissions, and run sax2. You may have to use different sax2 arguments, dependant on your hardware, and its best to run "sax2 -p" and post the output here, so we can give more detailed advice.

I've installed suse 5 times before...just never ran into this problem in any previous installations lol.

My output was:
chip: 0 is -> ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 01:00:0 0x1002 0x9581 AGP radeonhd

OK, then you need to try (from run level 3), logged in as a regular user, but after typing "su" to get root permissions:
<span style="font-family:Courier New">shutdown -r now</span>" to restart direct to your X window (gui).

I'm assuming (this being a 11.0 beta3 version) that you have not installed nor built a custom ATI driver.
