I noticed that my system doesn't respond to <Ctrl> <Alt> F10 anymore so I need to use dmesg to view the kernel messages. Nor can I switch between sessions with <Ctrl> <Alt> F1 etc. How can restore this?

zaaz,
You did not mention the type of keyboard you are using, but if you are using one of those nifty Microsoft keyboards with the F-Lock, you might need to press it to re-engage F-key functions. The F-Lock key is in the F-13 position. If that is not the problem, then perhaps someone else will be able to post in this thread with a possible solution. Good luck. |

It's solved. In yast I recently set the left alt-key as a third-level modifier key so I could use the euro-sign. I didn't know this would completely kill all other purposes for this key. Removing that setting solved my problem.
