First off, you will need to download and install this program.
http://www.blisstonia.com/software/WinMD5/ It is the best and easiest program I've seen for finding hashes in Windows. Now - You will need to find the correct MD5SUMs of the images you downloaded. http://en.opensuse.org/Mirrors_Released_Version Find your mirror, and click on the MD5SUM. If you downloaded the images from opensuse.org, then you will need the mirror shown in this picture. ![]() (These steps apply to all mirrors.) Find the correct media, whether it was 5 CDs (Boxed in Blue) , 1 DVD (Boxed in Red) , or the Internet Install CD (Boxed in Yellow, hard to see). Open the file, and it will give you a list of all of the hashes. (Now - Keep that window open.) Run MD5SUM. Drag your iso files one by one onto WinMD5. ![]() Out will pop out a hash, and compare it to the hash marks on the mirror list. If they match, you have a good image! ![]() I hope this helps some people out. |

Excellent tip. I'm going to sticky this here in Install/Boot until the 10.2 adoption rush is over, at which time I'll move it to Tips & Tricks.
