I have the same problem: my solution, when you boot, the chances are likely it'll say somewhere "Press <F1, F8, Del or something> to enter boot selection menu" from there, choose the HDD that has windows on it. TADA!

Hi. I was having the same problem with my system booting, using OpenSUSE 10.1 64-bit and Windows XP Pro. I did some research, and there are some websites out there that hint that there is a problem running grub under some BIOSes. On a whim, I tried installing LILO instead of GRUB on a fresh install of SuSE, and viola, I could boot Windows. LILO is included withthe SuSE installation. I think it is under expert mode, but I don't quite remember. Maybey somebody can confirm where this is.

This would be good, but I already backed up windows and formated the drive. My windows installation cd's that came with the emachine turned out to be a norton ghost image... I hate these things... Anyways, I gave up on windows and kept using suse... I sure do miss my photoshop cs2 and front page 03... and my games... Everything else is good though. B)

Sorry you couldn't get Windows and Linux to live in harmony. If you are looking for an alternative to Photoshop, try The GIMP. Or you could try looking at Wine, which will allow you to run certain Windows programs under Linux. Unfortunatley, it doesn't work with Office 2003. But it might with Photoshop.
