I have just reinstalled 10.3 KDE. The first install was flawless, and sound was perfect. My HP laptop multimedia sound keys even worked. This time the sound isn't exactly right. I have sound, but at every boot the volume is turned down all the way. The up and down volume keys work, but the mute key doesn't. What could have happened between installs to cause this? I have looked at the sound troubleshooting page with no luck. The card is configured correctly according to Yast and alsaconf. Any ideas?
