I have an Acer TravelMate 2304WMLi (Celeron M 350 1.3Ghz, 15.4" TFT, 1GB RAM, Suse 10.3(i586), Kernel 2.6.22.17-0.1default I686)

The only thing which consistently refuses to work is the battery monitor. It works with Ubuntu, but I prefer Suse. Has anyone had any luck with this?

It's not a huge problem, but I have a Dell Inspiron 1300 with Sus 10.3 and the battery monitor works fine. Unfortunately on the Acer you have no indication and no warning, so it just dies, and when you restart the WiFi adaptor rarely comes back first time.

I bought an el-cheapo Acer Aspire 5315 with overheating problems in Linux OS, in particular openSUSE10.3.

The Battery Indicator, however, works just fine. Nothing special in suse 10.3 - just a standard, out of the box, installation.

HT 2c worth will have some use and will encouraging you to look for the reason why it does not work for you.

Kind regards, OldAl.
