Asus Z53m

Hi,

My work laptop is an ASUS Z53M and I have problems with the screensaver under OpenSUSE 10.3. When I get back after lunch break the screen remains black. I can type the password to unlock the laptop again, but I have to press CTRL + ALT + F8 (or F4) and then CTRL + ALT + F7 to get back to Gnome. (I have all latest updates installed + Compiz)

An ohter thing is I don't seem to be able to switch to an external monitor. I've configured SAX for dual monitor support, but when I press the fn+F8 combination nothing happens and I couldn't find how to switch/ activate the external monitor otherwise.

Any thoughts about this?
