This is one thing that has been a nuisance for some time now.

Whenever I insert my Panasonic 2gb SD card into the card reader on my HP Pavilion dv6645eg laptop, the thing throws a fit.

Usually locking up immediately.

I just tried the latest version of Ubuntu (8.04) out of curiosity, and it actually reads the card.

This makes me think it's a kernel issue, and was wondering if I could update my openSUSE 10.3 to the newer kernel (2.6.26 I believe)?

Would that maybe fix it? How can I do that?

Thanks
