My laptop has a synaptics touchpad which works fine. However, it is supersensitive and tap-to-click is on by default, which I try not to do.
I've used the command synclient to manually disable the tap features, but i've discovered that this only affects the driver per session. Is there a way i can adjust the driver globally? |

yeah ksynaptics is definitely a lifesaver. i don't have a mouse yet and the fact that it would register just about anything touching the pad as a tap certainly frustrated me.

I cannot find ksynaptics or Gsynaptics in my Software Management.....and when I downloaded the tar.gz files of both they gave me some error at the time of executing ./configure........

As far as the configure script errors, for ksyanptics you probably need a xorg development package and for gsynaptics the gettext tools. But it would be better if you find the right rpm or dep install to make install/de-install/upgrading much easier! |

My Software Management says that All the Xorg packages and Getext tools available with distro are installed on my machine |
