I have a Sattelite A215-S6814. It works fine, but I would like to tune it up a bit. I am using OpenSuse 10.3 with architecture x86_64

I believe the monitor performance could be enhanced with the right drivers, but not sure how to approach this. Here is the monitor config.

Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc
Model: Radeon X1200 Series
Driver: Unknown

Any suggestions? Thank you very much!!

I found the answer:
http://blog.linuxoss.com/2007/10/11/...-installation/

There is a 1-click link that worked for me. The manual instructions are also given at this link.

If you use the 1-click, after you are done, you will still need to configure the x-server.

1. Log in as root
2. # sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx

Cheers!
