First of all hello to everyone. Thanks for taking time to read my post.

I am a complete linux noob (long time windows user) so please explain any instructions like you would to a monkey.

I downloaded and installed openSUSE 10.3 KDE cd from the opensuse website, and installed it as a dual boot config with Windows XP. Install went well, everything is working to some degree at the moment, but I have two problems:

1) My ALPS touchpad is waaay too sensitive or the acceleration is completely off. I have tried but failed to find a setting to change this. Suse is also detecting it as an IBM pointer which is wrong.

2) I can configure a wireless network manually (and this works), but Knetworkmanager does not seem to detect my wireless card so I cannot search for or connect to any networks without having to go through lots of screens.

I would really like to start using linux full time on this laptop as I am really impressed by what I have seen so far and sorting out these two problems would make it pretty much perfect

Would appreciate any help, cheers.

Intel Core Duo T2300E 1.6ghz
