I got the latest ALSA-Configuration.txt, installed kernel-source.rpm, updated and installled: alsa, alsa-driver-kmp-default, alsa-utils, alsa-tools, and alsa-firmware.[/b]
Can you provide a sample of your PC's "/etc/modprobe.d/sound" file, so we can check that you used the correct syntax? Also, can you provide the output of:
a. <span style="font-family:Courier New">rpm -qa | grep alsa</span>
c. output URLs from the following two diagnostic scripts:
http://en.opensuse.org/AudioTroubleshootin...led_information

Note - I am on vacation, with only intermittent and slow internet access, so there may be some time between my responses.
