getting my 3d acceleration working. I have the drivers from ATI, but I have heard that the drivers from Suse are better. the problem is, I can't find the one from Suse. I also can't find which version of X I'm using. (in case you can't tell I'm a bit of a newbie). If anyone could give me some tips I would appreciate it.

You did not tell us which version of SuSE you are running.

alex.esplin,

I was hoping for 9.2 Pro, but keep this going.

well, I discovered a solution to my problem, if anyone is interested.

in sax2 where you can configure your monitor, card, resolution, etc... the 3d acceleration is by default disabled because agp is not yet "officially" supported on all architectures. All I had to do was enable it and I'm off and running.
