Hi there!

Just a quick question, my laptops monitors specs include a native resolution of 1280x800, which is my current setting.

Is this its maximum resolution?

The reason I ask is that when i run xrandr --fb 1280x1024 I don't get any error messages, although the xrandr output is the same before and after:
Code:
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 800, maximum 1280 x 1280
VGA disconnected 1024x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right) 0mm x 0mm
** 1024x768_60****60.0*
LVDS connected 1280x800+0+0 (normal left inverted right) 331mm x 207mm
** 1280x800****** 60.0*+** 60.0**** 58.9
** 1280x768****** 60.0**** 58.9
** 1152x768****** 54.8
** 1024x768****** 60.0**** 60.0**** 58.8
** 1280x600****** 60.0**** 58.9
** 1024x600****** 60.0**** 58.7
** 800x600********60.3**** 60.0**** 56.2**** 58.7
** 768x576********60.0**** 58.6
** 640x480********59.9**** 60.0**** 58.8
TMDS-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right)
TV disconnected (normal left inverted right)
After I try to change the resolution the mouse can go below the screen, indicating that the resolution has been changed but my moniter wont support it. Is this the case?

As a side note my graphics card is an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (part of the Intel 945 GM chipset) which states on the Intel website that it supports up to 2048x1536.

Cheers for reading!
