It don't work......

Here is the problems:

1) Originally my docking station duel head monitor set up didn't work.
2) Now I tinkered it into only using the monitor and not the laptop LCD as well.

Let me set the story.

My display works beautifully if I don't have it in the docking station or another monitor hooked up. If I hook up my monitor (Optiquest Q201wb), then I got cloned screens even with the extended desktop checked. My monitor is a 15.4 inch Wide Screen WUXGA LCD.

I have tried about every combination of settings that I can think of and now I only get the monitor working while it is docked.... If you need copies of any config files or such, I can post them.

Please give some guidance/direction other than, "package up your laptop and send it back," etc.

Thanks in advance.

What video card are you using?

If unsure, run:
hwinfo --gfxcard | grep -i model
