ive been at this about a month now, and i got to say I'm about done!

First of all its not the OS its this hardware Gateway or should i say GATES way or no way? Vista is about all i can find that works.
Ive tried UBUNTU,KUBUNTU,PCLinxos , PCLinxos minime, SAM PCLinxos and Linux PUPPY 4.0
All in all puppy works from a pen drive but its not what I want, and minime works on live CD but wont boot right when installed to the harddrive
Ive been using Ubuntu on my desktop for over a year now it does the job but its ugly, lol

This is my first look at Suse and I kinda like the layout . just not sure how to find my way around and doing things.
So first off how do i get to ndiswrapper and install the wireless driver I think that will fix that. I think it an rtl 8085 I have it on a pen drive with all the windows drivers.

OH and this has been the same problem with all the distro's . ubuntu 7.10 wireless worked but no sound 8.04 sound no wireless, and i did manage to get wireless working with the windows driver just didnt like the way the kde was setup there. probably could get ubuntu 8.04 going but its just Brown and depressing
