hello all. i'm currently running suse 10.1, and find it amazing thus far. trust me, i have used red hat, ubuntu, kubuntu, and even knoppix (both as live and install), and find suse to be the distro that i'll definitely stick with. however i don't feel that my suse distro is complete until i have 3d accelerated hardware support. i have a nvidia vanta/vanta LT video card with 16 MB of video memory. however when i try to install the nvidia driver for it using the .run file provided by nvidia, it defines my video card as being part of some "legacy" series, states that it doesn't support my video card, and then quits the installation process, leaving me with no 3d accelerated support (and yes i did run the file in "init 3" mode, if you were wondering). does anyone know what i have to do to fix this? i just want to get 3d support up and running, but please don't tell me to get another video card because i really do not have the money. thanks for your help!

nVidia dropped support for your chipset with release 1.0-7664. Refer to this link:

http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-...ler-HOWTO.html

The URL mentions a particular release that is ok with your graphics chipset (1.0-7182), so use that.
