Hello,

I'm using OpenSuse 10.3 64 bits on my server (full update), and install and run xen 3.1 (given by yast). I want to have system image files on configuration files tu run a OpenSuse para and full-virtualised, and then windows, but later.
For now, I run a para-virtualised OpenSuse correctly, by installing it with yast and a web source.

I need now to run a full-virtualised one, but in spite of several try and long search, my entire attempts were without success (it's not possible to install by internet in this mode).
* If I use the image of the para-virtualised system, it blocks and stays at this point:
Quote:
ata0 master: QEMU HARDDISK ATA-7 Hard-Disk (5120MBytes)
ata0 slave: Unknown device

Booting from Hard Disk...[/b]
It is considered by "xm list" in "r" state, and don't do anything else (I let it more than 15min).

* If I use the real live CD (or an .iso image of the disk) to install it on a new file, it's almost the same:
Quote:
ata0 master: QEMU HARDDISK ATA-7 Hard-Disk (5120MBytes)
ata0 slave: Unknown device
ata0 master: QEMU CD-ROM ATAPI-4 CD-Rom/DVD-Rom
ata0 slave: Unknown device

Booting from CD-Rom...

It is also considered by "xm list" in "r" state, and don't do anything else.

I try these 2 methods manually and with vm-install, but it has the same result.

Edit: I have already tried some other solutions:
* With the paravirtualize system image, and it doesn't work.
* Some other system images, lot of them failed, but it works with DSL and Knoppix live cd images (don't try with real cd) so the problem seems not from xen.

If you have some idea of my problem, and how to fix it, you will be very helfull.
Tell me if you need further information.

Thanks a lot in advance for any help.
