I've found out that the 64bit version tends to have a few hickups here or there on my Pavilion. I've had a good few frustrating hours getting SuSE 10.3 to run as smoothly as 10.2 did. I never had any trouble using 10.2 on my laptop.
Then, one day, I remembered I had the 32bit version of 10.2 installed and the 64bit version of 10.3. I downloaded the 32bit 10.3 version, installed it and presto, troubles are gone. Don't ask me how, why or whatever the F, it simply works a lot smoother. |
