If you use Yast & uninstall Firefox 32bits, reboot and use Yast & install Firefox 64bits; it should take care of the dependencies.

Skype should have a list of dependencies on their home page site. You can install them with Yast; noting that in the x86-64 file tree, there are apps with "-32bit " in the filename. Use the Yast search function & try to find them. If nothing, look @ http://packages.opensuse-community.org/ & search there. If that doesn't work out, you can always add the x86 app version (using Yast) as there is an x86 file tree in x86-64 (see /lib vs /lib64).
Then install Skype from the command line "rpm -ihv packagename.rpm". If there is a dependency, that will tell you what else you need to install 1st.
