Uncompressing Savage and SEP3T Installer..........................................................
/home/sam/.setup7308: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I'm trying to install Savage (http://www.s2games.com/savage/) on SuSE Linux 10.3 64-bit. When I ran the installer I got the above error. When I ran the game directly from a separate .tar.gz I got the following error:
Code:
./silverback.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libSDL-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I'm stuck because I've been working on this problem for a week now so I turn to the forum! My progress thus far is I've got 32-bit compatibility installed on the system (did that during the initial install). There is also a 32-bit gtk package installed already that provides it. When I do ls libgtk* in the dir /usr/lib the following shows up
Code:
libgtk-1.2.so.0******libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
libgtk-1.2.so.0.9.1**libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.1200.0
libgtk-1.2.so.0 is a soft link to libgtk-1.2.so.0.9.1 (ln -s) so I don't know if that is the same version the game is looking for. I've read around and the only problem with Savage and SuSE I could find is something about an xlib.lock problem. This is not that problem.

SuSE 10.3 64-bit on AMD Athlon 3400+ (on a laptop)
ATI Radeon 9700 mobility graphics w/ 128MB of video memory
1024MB of system memory
100 GB HDD w/ 2GB partitioned to swap
I think thats sufficient specs to possibly solve the problem.

Any suggestions/help appreciated, thanks ahead of time.

If you are talking about savage_2 A Tortured Soul then this guide might help (or not):
