I've installed suse Linux 64 bit 10.3, I have an Nvidia FX5200 card, hooked to an NEC Multisync 1940WCXM and its native resolution is 1440 by 900. When I select that resolution, my goodness it is horrible! I am presently driving it at 1280 by 1024, i think, its not bad but its not good either. I had at one time installed Opensuse 10.3 64bit and had no difficulty down loading the proper Nvidia drivers via yast and the screen was perfect. Question: how can I add the Nvidia repository to my updater? There is no community repository selection in Suse Linux. Q-2: If I locate the proper driver in rpm form will Yast2 automatically load the drivers same as in open suse? I hope I have'nt made this to complcated, but its driving me nuts!

You need to add the nvidia repo's to your lists if you haven't already.
Go to software repositories
add by url
add: http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/10.3/

you also want to have
http://download.opensuse.org/distrib...10.3/repo/oss/
http://download.opensuse.org/distrib.../repo/non-oss/

if they are not already there

you may also want Packman too, but thats not related to nvidia

You might want to read here first

On this machine I have installed Novell's Suselinux 10.0 It has done all of its patch updates, does this bring it to the equivalent of Opensuse 10.3? 2nd. there is no software repository selection in Yast control center like in opensuse - I could take this off and install opensuse 10.3 64bit, but would like to solve this problem, it is part of a learning curve for me.
Thanks for responding, any more ideas after this would be much appreciated!
