Right now I have a E6750 based system..just ordered a barebones Q6600.. if I just swap HD's and put my SuSE 10.3 system hd from the E6750 into the Q6600, will it boot up and work fine or will SuSE freak out?

I replaced my E6600 with Q6600 and suse is working fine? It recognizes the cpu but it still shows 2 core ..need to see why ..

An update to the post ..
cpuinfo showed two core because 2 out of 4 cores were disabled in bios by default.
Enabling them solved the problem. So the Q6600 is running fine for my suse installation without
doing any system reinstall or kernel updates. Hope it helps.
