Hello all,

I am very new to linux and have lot questions which i am sure would be answered in this forum. To start with,
I am trying to install Sles9 SP4 on a HP Integrity server rx2660. But I am having some problem in doing so.

Firstly, When I choose the option of booting up from Internal Bootable DVD in the EFI boot manager, the system takes the input and shows the suse installation wizard. But from there on when i choose install from CD-ROM it says no CD in the drive. So i am loading the network module tg3 and installing it over the network from my repository.

Secondly, the Installation goes through fine and the system gets configured and says installation completed successfully. Then the system reboots and starts loading all the modules. The problem is, after loading the kernel and majority of the modules the system just reboots. It keeps going through the mentioned sequence and reboots without giving the login prompt.

I have Redhat rhel4 Update4 loaded on another disk which is working just fine.

Is there anything that i need to take care of in case of rx2660. Is the server supported for the release. I tried searching in the Novel site for Hardware compatibity but could not find the rx2660 listing.

Could someone please help me. Also, there are awefully lot of reading material available, can you direct me to some site where i would not confused and understand linux and suse distro methodically.

Thanks in advance

It was my bad. Only thing that I had to change was to change the run level from default 5 to 3, as my graphics card was not able to support the graphics display and the system kept rebooting..
