HI All;

My Linux box doesn't seem to like it when I run latest Skype and Azureus at same time, and I run into some occasional problems, like a frozen box the other day that needed a power down to get pieces running again...

Druring reboot, reiserfsck did it's lengthy reporting, I got rebooted (down to no more reiserfsck error correction reporting - thank goodness!), but in this magical process, I somehow hosed up my Zen-Updater.

Yes, I use Smart Package Manager anyway (like it!), but I don't like seeing errors like this:

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
in <0x003d9> Novell.Zenworks.Gui.ZenTrayIcon:CheckUpdatesLoop ()
in (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void ()

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

About is the error I arrive at during a fresh boot when Zen-Updater goes to place itself in my taskbar. So I click OK on the error message and it and Zen-Updater are gone...

I tried an uninstall/reinstall of Zen-Updater, to no avail, then same with it and Zmd, still no resolution. (yes, I know this isn't a Windows box, just old habits are hard to break sometimes).

Obviously, I've got some config pieces or libraries for it hosed up I suppose.

If anybody would care to take a stab at this one, it would be appreciated greatly!

Best regards,

-Pat

I'd start here: http://en.opensuse.org/SDBEN-Update_System_problem_in_10.1

Good luck...
