Adding A New Update Src?

Hi all

Running OpenSuSE 10.1 AMD64.

Post install i added a local dir as a src for all my copied RPMS. This worked dandy :-)

However, now when i want to add a new FTP repository or a local dir, YAST hangs and hangs and then says it can't add it.

Please assist.

to add: What is the correct URL for Official updates to rpms for this distro? Not the additional ones as in the sticky, but updates to rpms of the install media.

It just says "Cannot add src...." do you want to try again."

What is the source you are trying to add? Update for 10.1 should be ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/x86_64/update/10.1

The source is irrelevant, URL above doesn't work either.

Where can i find a log for this?

BTW, i cannot get to "Online Update Configuration" either. It says cannot connect to server...

mmm, not a happy camper at all; as a 6 year Linux user i am searching for Linux that just works and had high hopes for 10.1.
