I have a 64 bit system I installed flash through yast but it won't display anything specifically when I goto doom3.com I tried installing manually but it said it was not supported on 64 bit anyone have any sugesstions

See if that helps... Also try: Tools > Extensions > Get more extensions > When that page comes up, click on the "Plugins Tab" Page down & there is the Flash plugin... |

I am running suse 10.0 64 bit I'm not sure about the flash site I'm at a differnt computer but I will check when I get home

I know why doom3 website dosen't work its because it is shock waave not flash

I have had so many versions installed that my memory slips as to what worked & what didn't with each version.
So, I fired up both my desktop & laptop in x86-64 & looked at x86-64 Firefox. Neither will play nor load flash from the Macromedia site. Sorry, I thought I had it working at least on the laptop. If I go to eye4u both play that flash well. I don't know why! I do know that with opensuse rc1 x86-64, I had it working; but, maybe it was the 32-bit version --I don't know. So, I guess if you want Micromedia Flash, you will have to install the 32-bit Foxfire. Note: this is not a SuSE problem, Micromedia has not released a 64-bit version of their propriatary software. Sorry for the run-around. |
