Everything went off without a hitch, except for one thing. I'm having the same problem again having to manually connect to my wireless internet via KInternet everytime I reboot the computer.
I setup wlan0 in YaST and iwconfig and still I'm having this problem.

If you are only connecting to the one network then you can happily stop Kinternet from loading at startup and that should solve your problems. If you still want a network monitor then knemo is pretty good and is on the disks too.
Sorry I can't give you a fix for kinternet but I've never used it, perhaps somebody else will pop up with a better answer.
