Default Gateway problem

Hello all . . .

I have two computers. The first computer that is connected to the
internet is a Windows XP SP2. The second one is the OpenSuse 10.3

The windows computer it has 192.168.0.1 as Static IP and the OpenSuse
192.168.0.9

As Default Gateway on OpenSuse i have setup the 192.168.0.1

The problem now is that i can't get access to Internet from the
OpenSuse.

What can i do for ? ? ?

Many thanks . . . .

Does the windows box have the same gateway? What gateway should they
have? What does /usr/sbin/traceroute show you when you try to reach
something off the network? Can you ping? Do DNS names resolve? Please
provide as much background as possible.

If you need to chagne your gateway go into Yast: Network Devices:
Network Card and do so.

Good luck.

Sounds like you are doing Internet Connection Sharing from the windows
computer to the Suse computer. Here's a tutorial on that:
Internet Connection Sharing (Linux IP Masquerading) with Suse or
Windows Servers. Here's a tutorial on that:
'Internet Connection Sharing (Linux IP Masquerading) with Suse or
Windows Servers' (http://www.swerdna.net.au/linhowtoics.html)

You should focus on the segment about a ' and the segment about the
Suse
client' (http://www.swerdna.net.au/linhowtoics.html#winserv). (\"http://www.swerdna.net.au/linhowtoics.html#suseclient\")
