Default Zeroconf in Open Suse

Hi,

i have to implement Zeroconfiguration Networking in my system. I am new
to this platform. Open Suse 10.3 has Avahi, which can implement zeroconf
so u do not need mDNS Responder installed seperately.

So, i installed only nss-mdns for host name.

Now i am trying to publish and browse in command line. I have no
response.

I can see that avahi-deamon is running
dbus is running.

I am Trying like this:

>>avahi-publish -s lokesh _http._tcp 10240 (For publishing)
>>avahi-browse -all(For browsing the above one )

It shows me nothing. Again i have to break it, by pressing Ctrl+Z.
I dont now if i am trying it in the wrong way or there is some
problem.

Can any one please guide me.

Kind Regards,
Lokesh

if nobody knows, I can say that if my 10.3 box don't find a net, it
setup a zeroconfig IP...

this never did anything good, however
