AUTH AGAINST E-DIRECTORY

not sure if Im in the right newsgroup, but
Tyring to authenticate SLES10 server against e-directory (on a netware
box 6.5 SP5.. edirectory 8.7.3.9 using LDAP.

I can successfully bind to the ldap server, but get the following error
when trying to authenticate (DSTRACE output)

DCSimplePasswordVerifyEx returned error -1642 (0xfffff996), conn: 566.

LocalLoginRequest. Error failed authentication (-669), conn: 566.

PS: all our MAC OSX computers currently have no problem autenticating to
the LDAP server so I know the universal password is working fine.

Unfortunately not. Check the novell.support.sles hierarchy.
