Hello,
I am using a USB Linksys adapter to connect to my Linksys router on openSUSE 10.3. I can connect to the router and the internet. My problem is that it only transfers real data back and forth for about 10 seconds every 2 minutes. The graphs are showing a continues exchange of about 60 b/s and then a burst at normal speed then a drop again. This includes trying to ping my router. The connection works normally if I connect with ethernet or use XP. Also, but of alot less importance, if I use ifup and kinternet I can connect to my router, but if I use networkmanager I can't connect to the router. Anyone have a clue as to what is going on? Thanks, Omea |

I don't have any answers (at least not yet) bntut I have a lot more questions. What driver does the USB Linksys adapter use? Does the output of dmesg contain any useful information regarding either the intermittent data transfer, or the problems with NetworkManager? What kind of encryption do you use? Larry |
