Hello All
During regular automatic updates, I have gotten the notice that the Firefox 2.0.13 update needs to be applied. I gladly accepted the update when it first arrived but upon starting Firefox after the update, only about a third of my installed addons were recognized and functional. The remainder were either NOT present or did NOT work. I removed 2.0.0.13 and reinstalled 2.0.0.12 from RPM. I have since tried to install from the 2.0.0.13 RPM and both of those have reacted exactly as the automatic update. Any idea what's going on here? I should mention that I accepted the update as a regular user and then supplied the root password when prompted OR used a root shell to install the RPM. Thanks in advance for any clues. Charlie,
2.0.12 was the pervious version? The addons were running fine? If so try to reinstall them. Uwe -- Novell Support Connection Volunteer SysOp Please don't send me support related e-mail unless I ask you to do so. |

ALL addons work as expected in 2.0.0.12. I have tried uninstalling all addons, letting the automatic update for 2.0.0.13 and 2.0.0.14 be applied and then installing the addons again. Same story - small percentage work fine, the remainder either don't show up in their normal location or don't work at all. I've also experienced problems with segmentation faults. I click on the desktop icon and I get the little bouncing cursor. After a short time, the cursor goes away but firefox has not started. Clicking the icon a second time does start firefox. |

And they are supposed to work with the new version? > I've also experienced problems with segmentation faults. I click on the > desktop icon and I get the little bouncing cursor. It is terribly unstable. Uwe -- Novell Support Connection Volunteer SysOp Please don't send me support related e-mail unless I ask you to do so. |

And can you let us know which are the offending add-ons? I'm only using a few and they're working OK. Lucky me? > >> I've also experienced problems with segmentation faults. However, I have one program, GIMP, that has behaved in this manner a lot of the time up to version 2.2 though 2.4 seems OK - so far. -- Graham P Davis, Bracknell, Berks., UK. Multiple tabs and windows - as usual - but no Youtube content. Closed all windows but problem persisted when trying to start afresh so killed the process and all is now back to normal. -- Graham P Davis, Bracknell, Berks., UK. E-mail: newsman, not newsboy.
