When I try to use KDE help to search for something, I get meaningless
drivel back. khc_htsearch.pl --indexdir=/home/pbw/.kde/share/apps/khelpcenter/index/ --config=book_opensuse_startupen --words=autostart --method=and --maxnum=5 --lang=en Appears in every section, and I get no actual results. I have built and rebuilt the index. |

Perhaps there is no help for that or you haven't installed all of the manuals and docs available. I think the repositories have literally a hundred encyclopedias worth of help. Most programs have their own help and doc files but for some reason are not picked up by the help index. They are usually found stuck somewhere in the /usr directory. If you have installed PIN then you can see where all the files including help and docs are place for every application or utility. -- Later, Darrell Stec darstec@neo.rr.com Webpage Sorcery http://webpagesorcery.com We Put the Magic in Your Webpages |
