Default konqueror cannot show chinese content correctly

When I use opensuse10.2 I collect some musics from china. These music
files all have chinese names. Then I upgrade my system to opensuse10.3.
I am now using chinese locale. I find that all the files with chinese
names cannot be shown correctly in konqueror and so cannot be opened.
How can I solve this problem? Thanks for help!

I am best to give more details about my problems

I have a usb hard disk storing my chinese songs. The harddisk has 3
partitions:
1 ntfs and 2 fat32. I used to work with opensuse10.2 in my T43 laptop
and it worked
OK with my chinese songs and my usb harddisk. I've forgotten how I
configured opensuse10.2 so that it could deal with chinese files in
fat32 partitions of the disk.
Anyway when I decided to use opensuse10.3, I copied chinese songs from

opensuse10.2 to my usb harddisk and gave a fresh install to
opensuse10.3.

Now I set my primary language to chinese in opensuse10.3 but the
filenames of my
chinese songs are shown awful!

Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

I don't know what the problem is. I thought it was something wrong about
my locale so I
changed my locale using YaST-->System-->/etc/sysconfig. I tried to
change my zh_CN to
zh_CN.utf-8, zh_CN.gb2312 and even zh_CN.GBK which was not a default
locale( I could not find it in the default list of values for RC_LANG
so I typed it myself). I still got a mess chinese names, though... I
used command: "locale -a" and got :
zh_CN, zh_CN.utf-8, zh_CN.gbk, zh_CN.gb18030, ..................
I've installed the famous chinese font wqy-zhenhei, which was enough to
display most chinese characters. I also unchecked the mount options:
using the utf-8 character set.

Maybe there's some wrong with the konqueror. I'll dig it latter.

Default Re: konqueror cannot show chinese content correctly

It seems that all the problem is cause by HAL.

First I should differ "chinese names" from "chinese contents" ! Sorry
for my stupid wrong.

In fat32 partitions of the usbdisk, konqueror can disply chinese
contents every well but it cannot deal with chinese file names
correctly. I can even copy a file with chinese name to ext3 partition
of my opensuse perfectly although its name is still shown a mess.

So I find there's nothing wrong with my opensuse desktop. It's not the
konqueror's fault. It's the duty of HAL to mount my usbdisk using a
correct encoding. Windows uses GBK for chinese encoding by default but
linux uses UTF-8. Now I should find a way to tell HAL to mount my
usbdisk using GBK by default. Otherwise I should change my files'
chinese names manully
